There are arguably three major mobile operating systems currently in the market, each with its own pros and cons, in this post I’ll take on one of them- the Google owned

AndroidTM  (Android is a registered trademark of Google Inc.)OS. Note that am not saying Android is better; I’ll talk about other mobile operating systems in later posts.

GPU (GRAPHICS PROCESSOR): The graphics processor takes some load from the CPU by helping it process and accelerate graphics for the display. Gamers should really look for the best and latest GPU in their next smartphone. The presence of the GPU is mostly felt when playing graphic intensive games. 

OS (OPERATING SYSTEM): The operating system is very important when making a choice for your new smartphone as it’s the most important software in the phone. The operating system controls everything the user does with the phone and allows installation of third party apps and games.

THE STORAGE: This is the part of the phone that allows you to store your files in your phone; music files, videos, games, applications, pictures, documents etc. The amount of files you can save in your phone depends on the amount of storage memory it carries. The storage memory is measured in Megabytes and Gigabytes. Most smartphones come with 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 62GB models. Some phones allow you to expand the available storage through external memory cards and Cloud Storage.

Often times when people ask me to help them with their choices of a phone to get, I let them know each phone specifications so they could make the choice themselves. But rather than helping them, I notice the confusion in their faces because they don’t understand what the phone specifications mean and how it will affect them when they get the phone in question. This post is to help people know the basic phone specifications and how it affects their user experience. I’ll to try explaining in the simplest terms possible.
